Angel Face
Look At This Cutie
Just wanted to share a little post on this little Angel Face. I have known his father Shawn Donelson since I was 13 in 7th grade. Amazing how much time has passed. So happy for him and his family! xoxo ~ Melisa

Moving back to Ft. Lauderdale has been great. I love my new space and this area. I forgot how awesome it is down here. I just photographed my gorgeous cousin Jessie. She is beautiful and the camera loves her. Here is a small slide-show sample of the photos I took of her downtown. The area by river front is terrific for shooting. I love using natural light and there are many great spots to shoot. If anyone is interested in having a session.. Contact me at melisacaprio@msn.com. Enjoy... xoxo ~ Melisa
Family...:)
I really love when I have a photo shoot and the family is open to having some fun. I think the best images aren't the posed ones. They are the ones where people are being themselves. Those are always my favorite; the goofy, playful and joyful moments caught on film (well not film anymore..lol). You get the idea. For anyone who has an interest in photography and you want to play around with taking images, I advice being playful. Instead of trying to be like a professional and get those perfectly poised and posed photos, just hang around with your camera and watch. When those human moments come up, shoot. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you will capture. Plus those are the images we end up cherishing and keeping forever. They are the real moments that we want to hold on to. xoxo ~ M Love the Little Ones..
I have to say that photographing children at least in the way I do it has always been fun to me. They are the easiest to shoot, really. I am talking about the age between 6-12 or somewhere around there. Because they are still pure, they don't have the hang-ups that we adults do. They aren't concerned with their hair, or blotchy skin, scars or God forbid wrinkles showing up. There comfortable in their own skin and it shows. They are still at that age when they like themselves and it comes across. They don't have the experiences of the harshness of the world yet. Of course I am speaking of children that have loving families and get nurtured. They are soo sweet, fun and confident and I get very excited to be a witness and capture in on film... xoxo ~ M Having Fun with Family Portraits....
I love when I get a great family to photograph who trusts my artistic vision and enjoys what I can offer them. I had so much fun taking these. Of course a little bribing went a long way with the little one. I had to tell him that it was very important that he smile because Santa was asking for me to send him the photos. It worked like a charm!! Of course "Santa" had to see that he was a good boy and listened. I love them when they are this innocent and sweet. And also it really is a joy to be with a family that just adores each-other. The photos always come out better when there is genuine love and respect in the relationship because it isn't about just looking good for the pictures, the energy of the relationship comes through. That makes it all worth it... xoxo ~ M
